    Parking Lot Accident

I want to get ya'll opinion.

Last night while I out with a couple of friends, and while in the parking lot a douche bag backs right into my truck. The cops can't do anything about it since it was in a parking lot, this is what the cops said. I got the persons information and his grandmothers insurnace, since she owns the vechicle that hit my truck. He said that he would pay for the damages as long as I don't let his grandmother know about what happened. I am going to get estimates tomorrow since I have the day off. My plan is before the trucks goes into the body shop, this douche bag will give me cash or a certified bank check for estimate, and when it gets done if any lefts over he will pay me for that.

Does anybody know where can I find a complete bed taken off a truck?

Icerat if you see this, what do you think it will cost to get it repaired?

I was going to suggest the same and even check with companies that get them installed If that is a 1/2 ton truck it will be hareder to find a bed than if it were w 3/4 ton+.

    The truck is 2500LD, not a 2500HD.

He told me and my friends, that he has $3,000 in the bank. I told him this would cost at least a couple of grand to fix it. He also recommended a body shop that could fix it cheap. My first thought, yea bondo cheap, I am taking by whatever bodyshop I feel like.

I really don't want to claim it on anybodies insurance, since the insurance company will likely total it out. It sucks to have 325,000 miles on a 99 truck, but it's paid for.

why would they total it for that repairable dent?

You must have taken good care of it and kept up with it! It's your truck, doesn't matter what shape or how many miles it has on it! Do you what you think is fair you obviously are not out to make money on it!
