    Raced a Sho Today

well, I was at the local causeway today and a guy had a sho. He was cool and we talked before we launched em. We got to a little race and it was pretty much even. I pulled on him out of the hole and he was creeping up slowly but never really caught me. But I would say they are pretty much even stock for stock. Water was choppy.

I really expected the sho to look different, but it pretty much looks like every other yamaha. I did not even realize it was sho till he told me.

Now that I seen it in person I think the kawi looks much meaner and I am happy with my decision. I am at 6 hours on my ski. He had about 10.
At least I did not get beat!!

Cool to get a report like this man. One question. How did the SHO sound? Was it insanely quiet?

yes, very quiet. I couldnt hear it at all. I think these skis will be neck in neck.

I was on a full tank of gas, dont know what he was. Probably the same.

Seemed like he was handling the rough stuff pretty good.

I think it will come down to rider weight, fuel weight, etc

I was probably about 30 lbs heavier than him.

We were gonna trade off riding but his family was there and we didnt get a chance.

I would say it was a bit rougher than that. The sho was hooking up real good. Did not seem to have a problem in the rough at all.

shure, I have a Nikon D80 10.2 mp. What kinda of shots you want?

Edit: Tooks some more this morning. The first set is from the pickup day.
The day light set is from this morning and they are the High res 10 megapixel. Let me know if you want any emailed at full resolution as photobucket chops em down real bad.
Make shure you see all pages as they dont show up at once unless you click view all at the bottom.

Harry did you ever pick up your Sho? Or were you just having fun with us desperate Yamaha, 4stroke guys?

The one I saw was a silver Cruiser sho. Did not have my camera but the guy said he would be at Dunedin Causeway again this weekend. I will bring the cam now that I am looking for him lol.

Has anyone run into a RXT-X yet? Just curious because I read in the latest Ride mag that it is lighter, shorter and has more H.P.'s than any of the other ski's.
