Fastest Jetski out of the box ???
Ok guys I really in a dilemma here.
I'm looking to get a jetski this weekend and I have no idea what to get.
Ive narrowed it down to either a Yamaha or a SeaDoo. I'll tell you guys what I'm looking for. I want the fastest Jetski out of the GATE!!! I'm not really worried about top speed or which gets to the top faster. I just want to be out of the gate before anybody else. And from http://www.yamaha-motor.com/waverunn...6/0/video.aspx that FX SHO was smoking everybody, but then again the SHO in that video wasn't racing a new RXP-X(255) so I'm sure it would of been differernt?
From my reasearch so far I'm down to either (FX SHO, RXP-X, or GTX Limited)
Need some opinions here Thanks

WELCOME to the forum!!!
Well, thats a choice between a 2-seater and a pair of 3-seaters....2 different animals...ALSO holeshot and straight out of the box speed are also 2 different animals...You need to look at how you will be using it, otherwise you could end up getting something you don't want....
Example, a GTX and RXT are the same, just different trim options...Both are large, so their holeshot is good...but their size will limit their overall topend, which can be a factor down the line.....
The RXP or RXP-X could be the way to go, with with smaller size contributing to a faster topend...but once the chop hits, its tough to compare to a 3-seater...
The SHO is the only ski that no one knows that much about, YET. Since its an all new ski (just like the 250 last year), I can't comment on it too much. Some people who have ridden it like it alot, and the aftermarket suggests that it can be turned up a few notches when parts become available...
I know you said you want out of the box performance, so make sure you BREAK THE SKI IN properly before you flaunt it around, it will be better in the long run....You have to remember that eventually you will get bored with its current performance, and will toss a few upgrades to it to make it better overall...TRUST US on that one
Make sure you get a ski that is favorable to the aftermarket, because a few simple parts will change the way the it performs over stock....

Absolutley NOT, out of your options that you picked the olny 2 seater is the RXP-X which i also reccomend.
If this is going to be a Ski for hauling kids around and going to the beach on weekends then get a 3 seater.
If this is a ski for YOU olny to mess around with and go fast then get the 2 seater.
Personally i think 3 seaters are rediculous, If you need a jet ski that needs to do anything kids related such as tubing/hauling them around/packing it with crap and going to the beach then get a BOAT not a pwc. This is my personal opinion and im sure many dissagree with it. In your situation a 3 seater should not be an option since your main focus is performance.
And Welcome to the Forum.Last edited by ReDevilRXP; 02-19-2008 at 09:31 AM.
