I read 95% of the Kawi performance section last night and I remember one guy posted saying that there was no difference in the waterbox mod...not sure if he did back to back tests or not or how he came up with that conclusion...I'm going to do mine just for the simple reason I can...most get deterred when coming to cutting and welding, but whether it warrants minimal gains or not I'm doing it...

Seems like it would be more of a PITA for you since you did the mod and have everything back together...but in the end its your choice...

Ask Firehawk, if it made a difference. I know he did the whole RPM kit, but the waterbox first. Then he had the waterbox done afterwards. He would be the one to tell you if it made a difference.

i agree w/ madtown. i have the full rpm kit w/ impros spec impeller and wet pump mod. all you need is a cut off tool, if you dont know how to weld take it to a local shop, shouldn't cost more that $40 to weld it.

if nothin else, you get better flow and less back pressure

it acts like a muffler and it keeps water from backing up the exhaust pipe and coming into the engine

Do it. I put the rpm kit on minus the water box and could not keep up with JP1300R. He already had the mod done. After I modded my water box I would say we are about even.
