Thread: Skegs questions

Hi, Im pretty sure Im going to go with the ride plate mod for my X (when it comes in). But I am not sure if I want skegs, I know there is a little gain in top end, but what i am hearing is the tracking improves alot. My question to the GH public is, fun factor, can you still " spin out" with skegs? I like to mess around and spray. I don't race other than with the buddies, so I wouldnt consider myself a racer. Is there anything else i should know about when it comes to the skegs.

Better handling in chop, definately harder for spin outs etc.

They would be welded on when the ride plate mod was done. I cant weld for shit, and i dont like the idea of epoxy since it seems like guys lose em once a season.

Mine have held up with epoxy really well but if you getting your ride plate modded then just have them welded on. I was kind of in the same boat as you. Its harder to spin out but i think they are worth it for the tracking they provide.
