As soon as my intake grate comes in, I want to go with a grate and wedge combination, until I decide to get the rest of the stage 1 kit. Am I ok with doing that or do I need to add something else to that mix when adding the grate and wedge?

gba, be sure to get stock gps speeds once she is broke in, and then put your mods on so that you can see the gain. I am sure you were going to do that, but I just thought I would remind you, cause i see some here on the forum that put on mods and then gps and then want to know if there speeds are correct, and there really no way to tell since never baselined.

Did you get your ski yet? That small hose clamp I sent you is not included originally. I thought you might need it for the hose that connects to the intake close to the filter.

I believe the stock intake grate was set up to really restrict the ski (top end wise), with the after market you may bang off the limiter, but you wont know until you try it...

might want to get the prop to at least keep you somewhat off the limiter.
