    Waveraider 700

    Hey Everyone,

I am looking at buying the waveraider in the picture's below. It is ment to be a 1996 Waveraider 700, and i was just wondering if you are able to confirm this by the pictures:

Also wondering what you think of the condition etc? I know the pics are not the best but it is all I have got.

This will be my first ski so looking forward to riding it if i end up getting it

    Thanks for your time,
    Ray

That is actually a 94 Raider. They were very fast back in the day, especially considering they have only 80 hp. They run 55 mph and have the lightest hull of any Raider (389lbs). For its age it appears to be in decent condition. Do a compression check before you buy it, and see if you can ride it also. Good luck!

    Hey,

Thanks for the Info, I was wondering if it was a 94 due to the purple hull, thanks for the confirmation.

Yeah I will definitely do a compression test before buying. I am not too sure what to look for though, do I just see if both cylinder’s are around the same?

    Thanks,
    Ray

most of that will clean up nicely too... check search for the heat gun trick, its saves alot of weathered plastic parts on older skis....that paint on your rails and hull should clean off with some elbow grease and actone...it will be one hell of a first ski as raiders are a loose, fast ride ... just be careful and learn that ski's ins and outs.

Yeah i'll give it a good clean and i think it is coming with a newer seat

I've been reading a few post about the waveraider and people seem to recommend converting it to premix. I was wondering if it is true for this ski also?
