Anyone have any good suggestions on testing starters? Got an old starter from a Kawi motor I am working on...Problem is, no one on the "other" sites wants to help with information!!!
Al, how you been? Hope everyone is doing well!
P.S. Anyone have any experience with Kawaski JS 440's? Could really use some help!

You rock. Thanks man that was exactly what I was looking for. Do you know if doing bench testing with these starters is safe (for the starter that is)?
I have waited a week with no response on the other sites, this comes as no surprise though. Wish all my questions could be answered this quick!

No problem, glad I could help.
Benching, again, from the Polaris domestic perspective.

To give the starter a quick check I just get a jumper pack, lay the starter on the ground put my foot on it and supply it with power/ground. Black goes to the body of the starter and red to the starter wire stud. Make sure the connections are good and don't make the test around any fuel.
