    Wear ring....

    I have read on a post sometime back that you can flip a wear ring and it will work fine.....I orderd a new one from Riva and well they had one when I orderd one .......and to say the least it was susposed to be here today and I called and well they said that they were on back order and I need to have mine running tommrow any Imput on this would be helpful

    there is a post in the technical section about removing the wear ring without removing the impeller. read this

    Once you take it out just flip it over and put it back in. It will go back in you might have to work with it a little bit.

    yeah it performs fine if you look at it when you take it out it only wears on one end pretty much. Is it like having a new one. I don't know but it is pretty good. I do it to get everything out of it.

    Shibby swears by it and he is always right.

    I just tryed that method and it didnt work for me! The purpose of putting the pump in the freezer is for the wear ring to shrink away from the pump housing but it also shrinks around the impeller so tight that it is impossible to remove! Dont waste your time, go ahead and remove the impeller first.

    It worked for me, perfectly (the freezer trick)

    The trick is don't put it in too long. I do about 45 mins or so.

    It works for me perfect everytime. Psyco said it not to long. I have left it in there for as little as 20 minutes and it comes right out with no effert.
