This Would Be A Cool Thing: GH.net Podcasts

What if about every other week Jerry published a podcast on iTunes? The podcasts would be about tips for engines like mods, info like SC Failure on Sea Doos, upcoming events like Mudbug, new models for PWCs like the Sea Doo X models and Yamaha SHO, his own personal reviews on PWCs, etc. And it would be a great thing to help the site since most people have iPods, need iTunes, and would probably find the podcasts when they browse around. I know I would have every podcast on my iPods!!

I know I don't have an Ipod or anything like that. I have never even heard a pod cast first hand.

I spend all my money on my ski's.

Here, this is from the iTunes Help Window:

Podcasts are radio- and TV-style shows you can download from the Internet.
You can download free podcasts from the iTunes Store. You can also subscribe to podcasts (for free) so that new episodes are automatically downloaded as they become available. (Some websites charge a fee for podcasts.)
Podcasts are different from Internet radio stations, which stream live content over the Internet. Podcast episodes are downloaded to iTunes on your computer—and you can add them to your iPod—so that you can play them when you're not connected to the Internet.

The only thing is who is going to produce the podcasts? this takes time to write, time to record, time to edit, time to load on the website.

Just do you know Andy, they are made, and my dad has to get a shipping envelope and send the disc with the calendar down to Pistonwash in Florida. Man do I wish I could be down there enjoying my boat . And Apple says making a Podcast isn't hard to do on a Mac with iLife.

True, but you need someone with a voice(a good voice, DJ-esque) you need more than the $20 mic you use for online chat or gaming, you need editing, recording and equalizing software. Most of all you need someone with a desire to do these things. Well you need those things if you don't want to sound like a guy in his mom's basement with the spare time but not the spare money to do a quality podcast. (no offense to our younger members who happen to post from their parents basement)

I really can`t see the podcast thing happening, the warmer weather will have everyone out riding and testing and modding even more. There seems to be more of a competitve nature here now than in the past!
