Thread: UMI bearings?
02-25-2008, 01:14 PM #1
Anyone know the part # for the bearings of the UMI steering? I don't want to go to UMI directly and I need to change mine out. I might have to just pull them apart and go from there. But if anyone knows what they are...big help.

John @ JSS has UMI re-bearing kits.

I have one of those kits in the garage. Just found it the other day in a toolbox drawer. Part# on these bearings are 6004-2RSC3-SR12 they are made by KYK and bought from JSS. These are the Stainless no rust version. Both bearings are the same, these are for my 99 GP1200, I also bought the no rust thrust bearing. he sent me 8 o-rings 4 ea of two sizes I have not had this apart in awhile so don't remember what's what.

I think it's the same ones used in the rear axle bearings on atv's.
