2004 RXP..Yes?or No?
Newbie here- and Im on the verge of purchasing an '04 RXP with approx 60 hours/clean/few light scratches on bottom...what else should I look for before purchasing? An acceptable price? The ceramic washers were never replaced with metal...I've also read about the SC needing to be rebuilt after 15 hours, 40 hours, etc.
I've read many threads/posts here and seems like you all are extremely helpful. Any comments, suggestions or input would be appreciated...

I would make sure that it never had any washer or engine failures. You do not need to rebuild the supercharger after every 15 hours.
I am selling a 04 w/ 190 hours on it- stage 1, mint condition for $6000 and a 05 w/ 130 hours- mint condition for $7000ish

The SC issue is the biggest concern. Unfortunately, without tearing the ski apart, you cannot be completely confident that no damage has been done. You could take the SC off and make sure the washers are present and undamaged. But there's no telling whether there had been a prior failure without looking at oil pumps and screens. Make sure the engine pulling brackets are not marred (indicating that the engine had been removed). Even then, most dealers don't pull the engine to fix a washer failure. Unfortunately, there is no easy answer here.

B4 I was on this site, I picked up my 04. Had 130 hours on it on stock washers. I have since changed them, but I never had a problem, and the ski was babied before I bought.
Just look into the past history. Get someone to check out the SC.
I, personally, love my 04.

I have a 2004 RXP as well with 34 hours when I purchased it w/ the stock washers. The ski was fine. I think you will love it as long as you check it out good. I have read a lot about Coddymouse's posts etc and buying one from him wouldn't be a bad idea.
