Question on FF
Ok i did a search for free flow (can't do one for FF its too general) and didn't exactly find the info I needed. I am on this site for at least an hour a day reading and I have read that FF on 1300s u will lose speed.
I am milling head, adding efi controller, have d plate, and F/A. Those are motor mods. I am going to do Jetworks install and was thinking about getting FF but I didn't want it to slow my ski down. Any thoughts?

You really dont need the freeflow with those mods.

you will lose a few RPM's. Some feel the fact you improve holeshot and lower you chances of detonation is a fair trade off.
I dont like things loud so I wont use a FF. If it doesnt bother you or you like it louder then go for it.

sure is noisy... Id spend the cash somewhere else where you will see a positive influence on performance.

The old metal free flow was really noist-it gave me a headache!
The newer silicone ones are no where near as bad-or noisy. They sound quite nice-

FF is a performance modification, it increases holeshot. Same as the 1200grate.
Obviously if you only want top end, skip the FF and get yourself a 800grate.

I agree with mongoose. Unfortunately I have the metal FF but am considering going to PVC. I thought the sound at first was cool, but now it drives me crazy, especially around 4,000 RPM....With that said the whole shot is what it is all about.
