    Exhaust Sensor O-ring

I Was Putting In My Shorty Waterbox And The Temp. Sensor O-ring(what Looked To Be An O-ring) Was Disintigrated, Dealer Says To Buy A New Sensor. Can I Put On A Normal O-ring? It Was In Pieces So I Cannot Tell The Exact Size, Thick Or Thin. Anyone Had This Problem? Any Suggestions.
    Thanks

There is no O ring on the sensor just a aluminium washer.

If you disintigrated an aluminum washer you might want to listen to your dealer and buy a new sensor.
