Do you work for a dealer? If you have access to this ski, can you gps how many miles per gallon or range this ski has per tank?

I hope it was run in. If not it may be 'run out'.

With all due respect I know about that. I ran my SHO in as Yamaha suggested I do, for obvious good reason.

I dont know about that. All throughout my years i was always told to break in slowly. Gives time for pistons rings to seat and (in four strokes) break in the cam(s). But he does bring up some onest and good points that hold up a good arguement. But i have been breaking motors in slow all my life and it works. They say stick with what works for you. I say try it..........but not on my motors!

It seems you do not like this guys ideas

Volkswagen put every car they build at wolfsburg on a dyno as it rolls off the production line, now doing this can only mean you are revving the engine right up to its potential , they do it to check that the horsepowere is as specified. Can this be doing damage to the engines?

Skip broke in his Kawi 250 this way & at first he thought he screwed up his boat, turned out to be another issue. Would be nice o have the resources to break in two identical skis & monitor the performance.

Thats the only way i break in any 4 stroke engine. I have some pretty fast skis and i never have blown one up

Actually, you only have a small window of opportunity to seat the rings in properly. This is the reason for a hard quick break in.
