Get an engine stand, I tried about 10 minuets to do it on the ground and gave up.
    Way easier on the stand.

Harbor freight had one that I got for $39 and to make it work I only had to drill out one hole and cut off a corner of the mounting plate.

Get a pan to go under the engine as well to let the oil drip on.

Did remove all of the silver caps and got all the large bolts out from under those?

Once all the bolts were removed I preyed them apart really easily.

Check for bolts you missed, then it will come apart. Not easy.
