    Hitch on a sport ATV

I recently put a hitch on my 2006 Polaris Outlaw 500. This is a rear wheel drive sport quad with IRS in the rear. I cranked the shocks as stiff as they would go and it works like a charm. Here are some pics...

Here is is actually doing what it is supposed to do!

My buddy got rid of his 05 because it didn't have reverse. I saw the color and assumed your Polaris was an 05. The outlaw is awesome. I'm looking for a picture I have of a LOADED trailer getting towed by an ATV, not sport though.

Yea, the 4X4 ATV's have a much better towing capacity because of the 4WD. I think I van get away with towing a doubble trailer with 2 skis on it if I balance the weight right so there is not too much tounge weight.

I wouldn't try a double with the I.S. on your Outlaw. I had to get the special suspension lockout for my Sportsman.

I'd be afraid of something bending on the I.S. unit the Outlaw has. The solid axle on the Scrambler is ok for the doubles but I wouldn't consider any more than that. I'm suprised I haven't damaged my Sportsman,,, yet.

It's an OEM part. I'll try to dig up a link. If I can't find one, I'll take pictures of mine.
