    1994 750 sl reeds

hello everyone im new at this so bear with me i have a rags to riches sl 750 to didnt run when i got it i dont think there was a wire on this machine that was not fried. fixed all of that started right up this is my question the forward cylinder seemed to get hotter than the rest. so i assumed it was running lean so removed the carbs little dirt in there cleaned them out. while there i removed the reeds found 1 screw in center reed and found some blue clip in the third on theforward cylinder the reed had some cracking on the edges and the gap looked a little wide would this cause the cylinder to over heat

    Welcome to the Hulk!

Was this cylinder hotter when riding on the water, or running on the flushing hose?

The MAG cylinder (closest to front) does get hotter than the other 2 on a garden hose.

Please post a pic of the reeds in question. Click on the "post reply" icon on the lower left corner and click on the manage attachments icon. Find the pic you want to upload and click the upload icon. After it's loaded, close the window and click submit button.

If your reeds are in question, buy these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FMF-T...spagenameZWD1V

You can't go wrong for that price.

Why would a manufacturer package a set of reeds that are half of what you need? Unless I am just dense, they should be packaged either a full set (ie 6 petals) or a set for each cylinder (Ie 2 petals)

Either way, do Ineed 2 sets or just one???
