Trim Ring bolt size different ???

Im installing Jims plate and an R&D Nozzle I picked up on the board and now my Trim ring is not bolting up. The bolts on my 03' 1300 are bigger than the ones on the new R&D nozzle. What do I need to make it work ?

Are there different trim rings for the different years ?

What's different; the actual bolt diameter or the head?? If it's the head, you may have to use an allen head bolt, which smaller in diameter than a hex head.

If the sterering nozzle was new it should of come with new bolts. You need socket head cap bolts. YOu still may beed to grind a little on the bottom one to get the plate set right.

I just happenbed to think.. Do you have the collar in there ? The bolt goes through the collar and into the trim ring. See part 49 below.

OK, you see part #48, that bolt is to big it doesn't screw into the R&D 87mm 5 degree angle nozzle that i bought here on this site. I have an 03 GPR 1300 is there a difference in that bolt in maybe the 05+ GPR

Look up the part numbers for different years. I dont think it will be diff. I wish I could tell you more on the R&D Nozzle. Maybe just take it down to the hardware store and size up a bolt ?

The trim rings have different part numbers, between the 03's and 05's but the bolts and collars show the same part #.
