Ride Plate / Trim tabs Spacing ?????

Installed some RIVA trim tabs and Ride plate on a 1300 last night, I noticed the gap between the ride plate and the trim tabs is NOT even on both sides. There is more of a gap on one side than the other.
There is no room for adjustment here.

What could cause this to happen ??

Most late model GPRs are like that. The right tab is closer to the sponson.

    Dont know why.

Yea, WFO is right , it is closer to the sponson.

Should we fill in those gaps with epoxy or silicone ??
