I think these were a new product from Triton just last year, and I don't think there are many in circulation. The factory might not even have much supply, so pricing may not be all that flexible.

I think the bunk height is a little higher than the single axle torsion Elite WC-II, so you would be backing farther down the ramp to get launched.

Do you really need the extra load capacity of the double axle?
The single axle model is good for 2700 pounds GVWR, or about 2335 pounds of PWC.
The double axle version is rated for only 160 pounds more.

Is it the optional surge brake that you want?

I think you can add electric or surge brakes to the single axle model. Ask your dealer.

I think the main advantage is the handling at high speeds like on the highway. With a single axel the trailer with any slight movement of the wheel of your car you will see the trailer swirve slightley back and forth but with dual axels it pretty much eliminates that.

We use to have this old 18 foot bayliner with a crappy old single axel trailer and it was all over the place on the highway. Then we got a new Larson with 2 axels and it handles like a dream. Doesnt swirve back and forth liek the old one at all even in high winds

Hey thanks everyone on your input. I was just looking at them at the moment. I've had two Karavan double trailersand have never been happy withthem. I do a fair amount of long distance towng and over time the inside wear on the tires really bothers me. The karavan is rated at 2400 too. I have and rxp/rxt set on it. Now maybe 3k is too rich for my blood on a trailer. I may look at the triton single axle with the torsion axle. Maybe that is better then my solid leaf spring axle design on the Karavan.

    Cheers!

Must be nice to find the Triton trailers somewhat local, Triton sent me an e-mail to let me know that the dealer in my "area" is in Houston TX which is only 9 hours away.
