    FS:Stainless Exhaust Manifold Tip Mod

Here is a stainless exhaust tip that is a complet tip replacement. The tip is threaded in and has a set screw to lock it in.This make everything waterjacketed that is factory and the hole tip is stainless. If the manifold would ever crack or get salt water damage you can reuse your tip for the next one.All cores will be good to do this mod too. Here are a couple pics. The cost is $350 shipped in the US.If you want to wait I will return your manifold moded but there will be a 2 week wait.I do have 4 ready to exchange if you want it right away. You can PM me or email me at [email protected] Thanks Mitch

Mine has alot more time and is not even close to a copy.I've been work on this idea for along time.Everything is water jacketed and all cores should be good.I've done this for over a year but was looking for something that would make the hole tip Stainless. Then the stainless tip will not fall off if the aluminum deterates all the way up.Sorry not a copy

if you had like 2-3 set screws i would probly be sold, but one on a circular part just wont hold correctly IMO...

So you don't melt the stock bell. It's a preventative measure kind of thing, insurance policy so to speak. I think a lot of people were melting the bell because they were running a little lean with their setups, usually in higher boost applications.

It is threaded in then the set screw locks it.

I am convinced at this point that lean conditions are definately what causes it. After switching to the RIVA ecu and 50Lbs injectors, and putting over 75 hours on it, I had no increase in melting or damage to the manifold. Toasted two waterboxes though...

I haven't experienced this problem yet or seen it in person, but running lean totally makes sense...the extra heat that running lean creates. This is a good mod to have done though. Always good to have a piece of mind that you are running a safe and secure setup. Good luck with your sale Mitch.
