    Problem with an 01 GTX

    Hey Guys,
Tried to go out riding with a buddy of mine with a 2001 GTX (951), but his ski would not idle and had bascially no power, just bogged down under full throttle and would go no faster than 5mph! We changed the spark plugs, but had the same result... So we threw the ski back up on the rack and he is going to take it to the dealer tomorrow... Before he does that I wanted to see if anyone on here had any ideas of a quick fix... The ski ran PERFECT saturday then today it doesn't... THe only thing done between sat. and today was flushing it out and washing it when we were done Sat then it was put up on a dry rack...
    Any ideas??
    Thanks,
    Evan

Explain the steps you took to flush the motor........

There is a definate right way and wrong way to do this.

After you hooked the hose up to the flushing "fitting" what did you do next, and next etc........

yes please list your flushing steps.

Also, you may have already done this but.......

    check fuel knob position

check choke knob & choke cable

    do a compression check

He did the flush, but from what I remember seeing it was this:
    Connected the hose
    Turned on the ski
    Turned on the water
Let it run for a min or a bit more
    Turned off the water
    Revved it a couple times
    Turned ski off

I am not familliar with his ski, didn't realize it has a fuel knob and choke, though I am sure he looked for that (he has had this ski for a few months). What could have happened just from flushing and cleaning and storing it for 2 days??

    Guys,
Kinda need help ASAP. We are supposed to ride thur. and the dealer can't look at it till Friday so we need to try and fix it ourselves if at all possible... If you guys have any ideas on what to check that would be great!

    Again:
    -Ran Perfect Sat.
-Was flushed (correctly), washed, and stored on dry rack till today
-Today, would not really idle, kept dieing
-Had no power, just bogged when hit the throttle and even under full throttle wouldn't go over 5mph...
-Changed spark plugs with no different results...
    Thanks,
    Evan
PS- The ski doesn't have a fuel knob or choke, its Fuel Injected....

Bad gas? Has it been flipped over, or in other words has it injested any water? those are my only guesses sorry bro!

Thought about bad gas, but like I said, it ran perfect Sat. and hasn't been refueled since then so its the same gas... couldn't really go bad from 2 days on a dry rack right?? Clogged injectors is what another friend guessed, thoughts??

    PS- No hasn't been flipped...

I doubt it unless you have something large stuck in your fuel filter...

If it hasnt been flipped then no water ingestion I guess...

Is there something stuck in his impeller or on his driveshaft?
