2nd Annual Operation Helping Hero's Freedom Ride July11th thru July 14th,2008

The Eastern Pa River Runners a local Pa charter club of the American Watercraft Association is proud to join forces this year with The Family & Friends For Freedom Fund Inc, to raise money for this wonderful organization that aids in the recovery of our combat wounded Marines as well as servicemen and women from other branches of the armed forces who are recovering at both Bethesda Naval Hospital and Walter Reed Medical Center.

This years 2nd Annual Operation Helping Hero's Freedom Ride will be held July 11th thru July 14th. It will begin in Annapolis, MD. on Friday morning July 11th and take us down the Chesapeake Bay and up the Potomac River to Quantico Marine Corps Base for a layover that evening. On Saturday morning the 12th we will ride to Washington D.C. in the hopes of raising awareness within the community and the government to the need to help America's wounded soldiers and the need to protect the personal watercraft enthusiasts's freedom to enjoy recreational boating. We will then head back to Quantico Marine Corps Base later that evening for another layover before beginning our journey back to Annapolis, MD. on Sunday morning.

What we are in search of on this ride is the support by presence of every personal watercraft club, rider and enthusiast in and around the surrounding area as well as those who wish to travel to ride for this great cause, to join us on Saturday July 12th at Leesylvania State Park at 10:00 a.m. for a ride to Washington D.C. to raise "Awareness by Presence" and then head back to Leesylvania State Park for a picnic, fun, games and a great time ( Please pack a cooler and food for the picnic).

So, if you enjoy the freedom that you and your family have in this great country of ours then help us help those who fought and gave so much to bring you that freedom. Do your part and ride with us July 12th. For more information on the ride go to our website at and then double click the donate button under the First Giving logo for the info. To donate and help us raise the much needed money for the Family & Friends For Freedom Fund click on Give Now. For information on the charity itself click on their logo on our homepage.

Please let us know if you are planning on coming and how many will be in attendance with you so we have an idea on the count. You can also contact via e-mail at

Thanks and we hope to see you in this summer.
