    pre mix or not

why are people taking oil injection off and doing premix, is it better or does it make a difference

after a while the oil pump might malfunction and you won't know until your engine seizes up.

While the pumps seem to be the strongest link it is all the lines and check valves that can fail!

I am keeping mine on my EFI 1400. Thought about going premix but this way I will have more fun on one fill up. It is just all about making sure everything is good to go and the lines are secure.

you don't want to mix an EFI anyway

Well you can, and people do it. In fact I am going to have to add a little oil to each fuel up because of the extra CCs. Just not as much since I am sticking with the stock oil system.

I would be worried after a while the oil might clog the injectors some. People don't seem to have a problem though.

Actually the opposite is true zmann.. Premix is the prefferred method for EFI also. Adding more fuel, and air wiith porting and fuel controllers, and then adding displacement,, without adding more oil is a plan for engine failure.
The theory that premix will clog injectors is not true either.
Fact is it will extend the life of the pintle valves if anything, from the added lubrication oil gives.
