What should a 1999 XL 1200 ltd do with...

Just got my hole shot kit, solas repitched prop to 11/18 and pump/ rideplate brackets from island racing, Thanks Carl ... ordered monday received friday thats the BEST service

I am starting the upgrades in a couple weeks. I will also be adding a pump plug kit, Jims Plate, R&D intake grate, d-plate/chip, the IR holeshot kit, solas repitched to to 11/18....
What is a the ballpark top speed that i should do...
Sounds like the fall will include aftermarket F/A rejetted carbs, GPR nozzle, and milled head....

I would be interested in seing your GPR nosel fitted if you do it. I was thinkiing about a VTS auto trim one, apparently it will fit, but i chickened out and ordered the XL1200 one instead.

nozzle fits the same, just 5 degress vs 3 degree. Only diff is the the reverse bucket . I might have an extra that is pre drilled for reverse, siphon tube and visiblity spout removed. Anyways, the 5 degree helps lift the big hull out the water = more speed

62.6 on GPS this morning. 1/4 tank of fuel and "superman". Pretty much thrilled with the outcome from last year to this year... Thanks to Everyone that offered suggestions!

That is very good numbers Chris, Figuring the speed parts you have are the impeller the 5 degree nozzle and my plate.
I see you might put a riva stinger 3 pipe that will slow you down.

My only thoughts with the stinger 3 is improved holeshot, 25 lbs less weight, and most important, I will be able to at least see the carbs... How much do you think I will lose?
Haven't checked rpm's or compression yet... I am posting from my favorite cove on the lake... LMAO
