    Difference between 07 and 08 waterbox?

    Anyone know the difference between 07 and 08 oem water box?

    i think the 07 has 2 waterboxes the 08 only has one

    DING DING DING!!! Whats behind door #3 Johnny??? HAHA..yes your right the 08 only has 1 water box and its placed in the center of the boat with the exhaust outlet on the right side of the hull.

    Man would you take your seat off and actually look at what you own.

    Yes the 08 has one water box but it is not in the center. The single waterbox is located on the exhuast manifold side. The 08 and 07 have the same primary waterbox except that the outlet one the 08 waterbox is much smaller and exits straight out the hull. Where the 07 has a secondary water box then out the hull with larger piping.


    Rumor has it that Kawi dropped the second water box in effert to cut production cost. The smaller tubing was to muffle the sound.
    Actually I think that the smaller and more restrictive plumbing is causing higher exhuast temps with the extra back pressure. This is probably why several 08 models are having sensors fail.

    Hi skip,

    If i put in a 2008 ultra a RIVA water box 2008, i have to buy free flow 2008 ?

    R&D ride plate is not avaliable ?

    correct me if i am wrong but if you are standing at the back of the boat. facing forward the exhaust manifold is on the left side of the boats and the exhaust outlet was on the left side as well after passing through the secondary waterbox. on the 08's the exhaust outlet is on the right side with the primary waterbox still on the left side?

    08 secondary gone
    07 secondary is there

    08 exhuast outlet on intake side.
    07 exhuast outlet on exhuast side.
