newbie owner so please be gentle

Just got a pair of skis and one is a 2005 GP1300R. Checked the compression last night and two of the cylinders showed 110 and the third showed 90. 2 questions, 1) why the difference? and 2) Does it indicate a big problem?

Welcome to the forum ! Dont get nervous the #3 cylinder on that ski has a little less compression from the factory.

Use this link as a guide and retest the compression

Make sure you have spark plugs in the cylinders that are not being tested.

    Thanks to all.

I will continue reading replies. Answers to questions redirected to me: The engine was cold and I did not block the throttle open. I checked with all 3 plugs out and then replaced the first two while checking the 3rd. Same readings both ways. I'll read the linked info and re-check. Thanks again and in advance. I'm sure I'll be back!

I hear ya. I'll check them again this evening when I make my daily trek to the grease pit that was once my garage.

    Sweet signature picture btw.
