FX 140 Cylinders Steel or Nikasil?

    Anyone know?

I havent located a PDF of the full manual yet so I cant open it to find out.....

i see us chrome offers platting on the R1 motor...so im inclined to believe the mr-1 is also nikasil.

    thanks

    DP.

I seen the early (2004) fx 140 cylinder and it looked like steel to me because it had some surface rust on the cylinder walls.
It was just sitting for a couple of months and moisture had got to it.
    Hope this helps.

Does anyone have any more info on this? I'm rebuilding a fx160/fx140/vx110 motor, and need to know if I can just bore it over? I can get pistons, that's not a problem. Just cant find anything on these motors...
