    Auberins Thermometer/Pyrometer For EGT

Thermometer/Pyrometer For EGT and Process Monitoring

I came accross this on Auber Instruments, the price is $48.50

Whats your thoughs on this as an egt ?

Compact size that is easy to fit into most machines (24 x 48 x 75 mm or 1x2 x3")
Support 10 different types of commonly used temperature sensor inputs.
Support 9 different voltage and current inputs that can be used to accept signal from many different types of transducer to monitor pressure, flow, and battery condition.
Display Maximum, Minimum value and its occurrence time with a single touch of key pad.
Bright LED display that is easier to read than LCD display used on most thermometers.
Alarm output when temperature/parameter is out of range.
Operate by DC voltage from 8.5 to 16.5 VDC, Great for automobile application such as exhaust gas temperature meters (EGT).
Can display temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.
Four digits LED display can go up to "9999" or 0.1 degree resolution (with Pt100 RTD sensor)
Tow point calibration for high accuracy
    Manual and technical support
    90-days warranty

This is a brand new 1/32 DIN (24 x 48 x75mm) digital thermometer, pyrometer and process monitor. With the acceptance of 10 temperature sensors and 9 types voltage and current signal, it can be used in a broad range of temperature, pressure, and flow measurement applications. The meter offers 0.2% accuracy for temperature sensors. It also offer two points calibration (zero and range) for other transducers. The meter can record maximum and minimum value, maximum and minimum value occurrence time.

Its compact size makes it easy to fit in anywhere.

This meter is great for automobile applications because it is can be powered directly by the car battery. Its bright LED display is easy to read from a distance as compared with many dim LCD type digital thermometers. The peak holding function will hold the maximum temperature in the memory and let the driver to review it after the test run. The meter has a programmable alarm that can be set as high limit or low limit alarm. The alarm is displayed on the front panel with bright blue LED that is very noticeable. The alarm signal can also be sent out from the built-in relay. It can turn on a buzzard or a cooling device for EGT control.

Im assuming I only need one, as i would stick the probe in the exhaust headers, where all 3 ports merge into one ?

Its kinda in my budget, us$60 incl sensor.
