Just try harder, don't waste your time and money taking it to a dealer. Get something up in there long enough and just keep tapping until it comes off. It is probably just stuck in that one area and needs a good "whack!"

when you did get it back off shaft make sure to use some red locktite and or a set screw. These thing are very hard to keep in place . I ended up puting my stock on the solas never had the problem again and didnt loose any performance

Spray some lube up in it to allow the O-ring to slide...

When you do get it off, mess up the threads a bit so it will harder for it to come off next time.

I took a wood chisel and hit the threads sideways in two places, and screwed it on there with some clear silicone, and I will have to wreck it to get it off.....

It has not moved at all since I did that early last year

Do as Austin suggested and if possible take a pair of channel locks and put on the drive shaft. Don't hold tight just enough to hold in front of the cone.

Then hit the channel Locks this way you are hitting all the way around the cone not just in one place.

    Good Luck!
