    upside down??

Dumb question, I know. . . would there be any negative affect to installing and sealing the transom plate and shoe while the hull is upside down?

Mike, The tried and true method is to do the shoe in the standard position and put a floor jack underneath to aid in a tight seal. The transom plate needs to be aligned correctly and can be done in any position.

Floor jack? I thought that was jsut to hold it until you could get the bolts in.

one more thought, the hull is totally stripped, so the weight of it on a jack would be minimal. . .

It helps relieve the stress on the bolts too.

Wrists are still sore. I have issues taking it easy, and end up paying for my stupidity
