Will there be a 2-stroke in your future?
PWC have become about as big as they can be and it appears like the tide might be getting ready to turn and things might start to shrink.
BRP's E-TEC technology, which is a 2-stroke design, was once used only in their line of Evinrude outboards. Now they are using it in some Ski-doo's. Their new ad campaign states "Evinrudes E-TEC Technology dominates on any kind of water: FRESH, SALT OR FROZEN !" The E-TEC advantage means raw power, fewer emissions, greater reliability and less maintainance; in other words, it means better. Anyone want to take a "guess" where it will be used next ??

Automobiles, maybe the next lunar rover, underwater subs, scaled up for very large ships.

i love 2 strokes. lighter, smell better, sound better. I love my 2 stroke outboard, and if i ever repower, or purchase a new boat, it will have 2 stroke power.

I don't know, if the price of fuel goes up much more, I will NOT be adding anymore skis, 2 or 4 stroke, to by herd.
Anyone wanna make me an offer on a big azz 4 place trailer?

The E-Tec's are amazing technology. The E-Tec sled will mop the floor with anything in its class and from what I understand the outboards will do the same.
It is possible to put a 160 hp E-Tec into a 97 GTX hull and it would probably keep up with a RXP(215).
It would also be 200 lbs lighter and use 1/3-1/2 of the gas. I am not sure what it is like in the States but gas is going up to 1.50 a litre and there are 3.78 litres in a US gallon. That would be $5.67 a gallon.
The E-Tec might be the answer for people that cannot afford $113.40 an hour to run a RXP-X.
