    Fuel Problem

Took the 1050 out today, For a little run, and motor was cutting out at high speed. Fuel gauge was registering low fuel. I had just put 6 gallons of fresh fuel in tank.Tank was empty before I put fuel in. What is wrong?

Has the float become fuel logged? That's fairly common.

Was the warning flashing on the MFD? If so, that would cause the ski to go into limp mode and cause it to cut out.

If not, you probably have a fuel delivery issue.

Check the float. I beat it has become fuel logged. I believe that Randy at Watcon sells them, if you need one.

Let us know what you find.

Robert, remove the fuel sender from the gas tank. Inside it should be a float, remove that and put it in a cup of gas. If it sinks it's gas logged and needs replaced. Randy at watcon.com sells them for almost $20. In the mean time, you can open the elec. box and unhook the grey wire from the board. That should bypass the limp mode.

Removed the float today. Stuck it in gas, and it floated. Gonna add more fuel to the tank tommorow, and try it out.

How about the oil level? Or even a hot reading may put it into limp mode causing the warning to flash.

Ohm out the sender unit while you have it out. It could be bad.
