Come on guys its not so bad, the SHO is a wicked ski and i would not trade mine for anything else. The mods are still scheduled for early summer and since my buddies are ordering parts for their Ultras I want to be the first over 70..........

Maybe this is a dumb question, but do these ECUs usually allow you to select a "stock" injection map? I'm planning on getting the Riva ECU, but it would be nice to drop the horsepower back to stock for times when I want to save fuel.

I don't know if they usually allow you to select the map you want, or if they just go with the new, higher-output map only. I notice the Riva units for the SeaDoo have a "60 mph learning key" mode, which kind of fits the bill.

Anyone know more about this who could guess at what they'll do? More hp would be nice, but getting 4 mpg the rest of the time would be kind of a drag.

If you want stock...... Keep your stock PCM!! Yami doesnt use the same technology as Doo does as far as the DESS keys go. Its gonna suck more fuel if you mod it. Gotta have the supporting fuel if you add boost!!

I thought Yamaha has something similar in terms of the Seadoo Key, and I believe it's called "Low RPM Mode". Correct me if I'm wrong?

The reason for the ECU will be for fuel mapping, remove restrictions, and timing I assume. Stage one I would think will come with a pulley so you will NOT be able to turn the ecu to a stock mode. Why? More air from the S/C = different richer fuel map from the ecu.
