All Sho's To Be Recalled Fit No Work!!!

Spoke to my contact today, he mentioned that the dealer fix of tighnening up the flywheel to 190 lbs/ft torque DOES NOT WORK. ALL SHO's in the feild are being recalled to Georgia.
So now that really makes me want to get an 08 FXHO with the new hull even more. Ive been waiting over 5 months for my SHO & an extra 2-3 is not want I really wanted to hear (the weather here in SW Florida is currently fantastic & probably will be for a further 2 months before it becomes uncomfortably hot to ride especially in the no wake zones. What a pity Yamaha didnt think to offer the cruise control & no wake mode plus the speed sensitive reverse on the FX models.
Also think of the current eventual discounts that will be available on the new 08 SHO's. Someone at Yamaha's head will surely roll on this almighty bad PR.

I got 11 hours on my SHO with NO recall work done on it and it hauls ass. If it were going to break it would of broken by now.

Once you start it under load (in the water) you perform your recall.

Getting it out the dealers hands wont happen until Mid May.

I was originally told the SHO I ordered would be in March. (ordered in Jan.) now with this crap the dealer said it wouldn't be till late June.

I think Yamaha just lost a customer

105 miles out in open ocean and not one problem. Either I am incredibly lucky or Yamaha is really try hard to cover their ass.

Nah far from lucky, I have even reved the ski to 6Ks on the trailer to clear the exhaust and still no problems.

I would buy another ski tommorow and repeat my adventure without doing the recall.
