    intake grate height??

i have finished installing all my parts.just 1 question.after installing the R&D intake grate i find that the intake grate is slightly lower than the pump shoe but still higher than the hull.the pump shoe is higher than the hull as recommended.will this cause a problem ???

the side thats lower than the shoe is the side of grate that bolts to shoe.i think my pump seal kit could be the problem

    what do u guys recommend???

Try install the grate without the rubbers 1st to see where the grate sits on the shoe might be the grate if its sits flush then you know its the rubbers do as Paul said take some more off.

That rubber plug will push the grate down if nut cut or ground. This is a bad thing because the grate will be allowed to flex under load.
