Wow! That sucks. You said they have a new prop for you? But do they really have a ew pump for you too? It appears that you have broken your impeller shaft. That is a really expensive piece. That ski is deffinietly worth 1500 if it runs and has good compression, and all guages are functional. You will need a new impeller shaft, and that is probobly the only replacement part you will need, So if you get the shaft, you will just need to reassemble the pump with a new prop and you are good to go. Others will chime in.

Including the impeller shaft? If so deffinitely buy it if it runs.

Slam, you should stay away from that ski. After sitting that long there is a very good chance the crank is frozen. If your realy interested pull the spark plugs and turn the PTO by hand. It should turn easily, if not its worth less than the trailer. $200 tops.

Even if it spins over I bet the crank will let go as soon as you hit the water.
Personaly I would pay $500-$600.
You could put an engine in it and rebuild the pump, wet sand it and have an OK ski for $2000-$2500.
In good shape running it would be in the neighborhood of $3500.

The last two posts nailed it.
If you can get it really cheap and you are mechanically inclined it's a good deal. If I bought that ski the first thing I would do is tear the motor apart and rebuild it. If you get it running and the crank lets go and puts a hole in the cases then you might as well part it out.
I have done two skis this way and the only thing that made them worth doing was I got them either free or less than $500

dude DONT DOO IT
like they said, if it hasn't been fire in years (and im sure they didn't fog it ether) I will allmost garrentee the crank and cylinders are pitted so even if you got it to run it WON'T last a few rides. its the 951 cc motor.
its about 500 the way it sits.
1500 if it was clean and has been going to the lake every week end up to this point flawlessly. otherwise your buying a never ending repair job

The 951 is a good motor. Anything modified can be unreliable.
Keep your eyes out for something in better condition than that ski.
I would not pay over 500.00 for that ski also. That 500 is pushing it.
