    1300 efi hesitation problem.

    Has anybody got any advise.
My 04 stock 130or goes and runs very well. Only 38 hours from new, good compression, good fuel etc, but from tickover I pull the throttle and there is about a second of a delay before anything happens.
When it does happen-all is fine-It picks up quickly and smoothly-It's just dead for that first second or so when I pull the trigger.
is it a trait of the efi boats?
My stage 2 GP1200R was alot crisper.
Have I got a dodgy sensor etc?
It also behaves in exactly the same way when I tried a d-plate and freeflow, as well as with the stock ss and cat con.
Any suggestions as to weather i have aproblem or not?

You are prpbably fine as long as there is no warning lights coming on.

An EFI controller will usually clean up the acceleration.

Have you done any mods to it ?

    If so please post them.

I discovered i had 1/2" of play in my throttle cable, which caused a bit of lag, and hampered my WOT.

    Ski is stock.
LAG-is probably the best word to describe it.
Throttle cable is fine, and im getting 7200 on a tiny tach.
it just dosent feel right, as if it's a few moments behind the input I give it-if that makes sense.

    Er-Yes.
My stage 2 gp1200r was a lot crisper when you pulled the trigger.
It FEELS like a efi/sensor kinda fault.
As I said-there is a marked period of about 1-1.5 seconds before the ski starts moving-If you had a gun, it's like pulling the trigger and waiting a second before the bang.
When it starts moving-it's fine--Well as fine as a gpr is on holeshot!
