    Name that injector!

Below is a picture of four injectors. I have lost track of what I have on my spares shelf and now need to figure it out.

I talked with Mark Underwood and a couple of others and the consensus went something like this:

#1 appears to be a stock 38, but no one recalls seeing these with a purple band... they are usually brown.

#2 looks like a RR 42... purple band, shorter shaft, blue o-ring.

#3 is definitely a 42... probably the most common 42 used in 4-tecs.

#4 "appears" to be a 50, however a couple said it could be a different model 42. I used and sold a set of 50s recently and they looked just like these.

I guess what I'm asking... does anyone know for sure? Is there a definitive way to identify them with the numbers printed on the injectors?

Thanks for any help... I know there are others wondering about theirs

Jammer... I'd agree with you, but I'm not sure I want to explain why I know that

BTW... congrats on the Hahn trophy. I was suppose to be there watching, but alas, I'll have to wait 'till next year.

good lordy are there a variety of 42# injectors around.

since u have 3 diff 42s, i'd run a different one in each cylinder as added precaution LOL

LOL... I have often noticed that cylinder #1 runs richer than the other two... maybe we are on to something here

Dave, thanks for the numbers. I'll check the others in the morning... when the Viagra wears off and my vision returns
