Finished mine a couple weeks ago and I had not one trace of silicone anywhere. Kit went on good and I hope it works throughout the summer.

Kawi must have hired a new silicone dude.
I bought my 250X last March and my tube was almost totally blocked.

my tube had alittle silicone that ran down inside..not much but enough to make a difference especially with the casting flaw blocking 20% of the tube..i ran bloth hoses since my GIO was so severe..one thing i want to add is i think r&d changed to piggy back can some..my can doesn't have the port that is half way down the can..
