Green Hulk Shootout Results - Any fuel consumption data?

    Green Hulk

Did you collect and fuel consumption numbers (MPG)? The SHO Cruiser claims to have an MPG guage (not likely accurate but some indication) In any case if you didn't formally collect the data did you notice any significant differences between the boats?

Last Tuesday I rode my SHO about 35 miles with my buddy on his 07 Ultra 250.

We got to a marina and filled up side by side.

    SHO 5.1 gallons
    Ultra 6.3 Gallons

We cruised at 35MPH 80% of the time we rode together.

Another friend just got an 08 Ultra 250 and claims the fuel burn is much improved.

Sorry, no fuel consumption figures. I was only concerned with performance.

    MPG

Does your gut feel from living with them tell you they are similar in fuel consumption?

Don't want to split hairs, but fuel consumption is part of performance....
Actually here is the big news on fuel usage, My SHO has already saved me over $500 over my Kawi based on last years numbers.

Yup, have not had to spend a dime on fuel all year, go figure....

You know kevin, I am just numb at this point. I sold my Kawi a couple of weeks ago & I have my niece & nephew coming down in a few weeks & all I really cared about was taking them out riding & tubing & now that is out of the question unless I settle for the FXHO. What are you going to do. Gossie & Jerry have me sold on the SHO so I really have to think this over. Its been almost 7 months so what is 2 more going to hurt. (except this is the best time of the year to be riding here in Florida...

By the way if you went 35 miles on 5.1 gallons, thats 6.8mpg which is better than my ultra Lx which got usually around 5.3mpg for that speed. Not bad at all for that motor...

so your lx was getting worse mileage than his buddy's ultra at 5.5 mpg. Interesting.
