    RCE OPAS Block-offs

Hey guys I just recieved my RCE blockoffs, they look great. Just wanted to know what everybody is doing for a gasket when they install them. (and the cover plate on the inside of the hull by the nozzle) Is it better to run a bead of silicone around the OPAS holes in the hull or hand cut a gasket?

You don't want to use a gasket as it will space the blockoffs too far away from the hull and they won't fit right.

Use a generous amount of black silicone on the blockoff around the bolt holes. I use Permatex "The Right Stuff"

Just redid my left side RE and Siliconed it like crazy. Every hull is different and they don't align the same!

    RCE Block offs

    Thanks Guys, silicone it is!!!!

Thanks Jerry for all the parts I ordered this winter for my RXP, everything installed great, everything was packaged very well and no damage on anything from shipping. Class act.

Now if I could only get the ice on the lake to hurry up and melt!!!

Just installing my RE Blockoffs now...glad to see this suggestion. Does anyone suggest using this or some other kind of silicone where the blockoffs continue the line of the outside hull?

I always use some right stuff in the gap between the blockoffs and the hull. Use some spit on your finger to smooth it out. Sounds gross but works great

We use the Permatex Anaerobic Gasket sealer, it holds the O-rings in place and is easy to use. It is also make it quicker and less timely to remove the OPASS Block off's. It a great product and is also cheaper Than the Right Stuff. The Right Stuff is great for ride plate's, pump supports, and supercharger's

What do you mean silicon, The Right Stuff Gasket sealer is the best you can buy or use, it is great with all parts you want to seal and never remove, it is expensive but it works great. I like the Anaerobic gasket sealer for items you need to or will need to remove, but the Right Stuff is the best for sealing engine Block's, Pumps, Ride Plate's and supercharger's!
