    Rear Intake ?

Do you have to run a catch can with a custom 4" rear intake?

What made you decide not to use it?

Welcome to the forum if i have not already.
I am running the riva rear air.
I paid for a complete Riva Rear Air with Catch Can back in middle of February to a forum member here and never recieved it. So I had to buy another riva setup in the meantime to get my ski going.

Supposelly the first setup that i bought will be here tommorrow, so therefore i will have a complete extra Riva setup.

I will take pics and post in Classifieds to sell once i recieve it.

question ...what exactly does the catch can do...I know it is works like a blow off valve, letting out unwanted or un-used air presure does it work the same with the catch can?

It vents the crankcase. On stock 4-tecs it runs into the intake hose at the front of the engine. With modified intakes you hook it up to a 'catch-can' to vent the crankcase and capture any liquid that blows out. The more you mod the more liquid blows out so you need something to catch it or it will go all over the inside of the ski.
