    750 head fit a 780?

i bought a Polaris 780x that had a broken connecting rod in it. this also damaged the cylinder, piston and head. i bought a used cylinder and was wondering if a head from a 750 will fit as i already have one. i know the piston and cylinder are different. i don't know about the head. thanks.

You have to enlarge the dome to match that of the cylinder bore, the shape of the dome may be different as well?
Maybe sell your 750 dome a purchase a 780 dome?

Also the holes for the mounting studs will need to be elongated to fit.

Heres one on ebay w/ cyl. Ask for better pics from the seller. Something looks strange on the head. May just be a bad pic though.
Pm john zigler or 785 lugs. They may have one.

thanks for the replies. my head looks like the one pictured with parts of piston pounded into it only not nearly as bad. just a couple pits. i think my best bet is to get a 780 head rather than trying to make the 750 work. i didn't know if they were the same. maybe i'll post a picture and you can tell me if it needs replacing in the first place.

The dome and squish areas are also diffrent. You would be better off finding the one you need.
