    05 SeaDoo Challenger 180 SCIC 215HP.. HELP!!

Any know the correct part number for the super charger rebuild kit? Riva bearings and washers were ordered from Jerry. I went ahead and ordered a rebuild kit from a local shop. They rebuilt it and now the charger refuses to slide back into the motor. Now, my question is do I have the correct drive gear? I've called another reputible shop (Jet Trendz -- New Port Ritchie) and they recommended trying a 16 tooth drive gear. Any ideas? Thanks.

As far as I know, all SCIC 4-tecs use a 16 tooth gear. If you've got a 17, that would only fit the 185hp non-intercooled engine.

Here's the kit you need: http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=339

and here's the one they might have erronously used: http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=340

Yeah to that....#881946, that's the kit i've purchased from Jerry and did put inside my own C180 2005 S/C when i rebuilted it, if you need me to check i still got the stock OEM S/C components in a sealed bag here, so i can confirm to you the stock OEM gear, if that can help you out.

Sliding back the S/C into the PTO cover might need you to slowly turn the supercharger fan by hand to align the teeths of the S/C gear to fit with the ones of the flywheel.

BTW: I still got 2 brand new ceramics washers from the rebuilt kit (i didn't used) in the event you want to make some cool earrings to your girlfriend....that's about their best purpose yet...!!!

Many thanks for your replies.... I've got part #881947 put in and that will do it. Does that mean that have to replace my riva bearings and washers as well?

Part 881947 IS NOT the good part, you'll need to replace with the 881946 part, i'm not sure about what part of one kit you could keep on and only replace some of the components. One thing i'm pretty sure...you CAN NOT purchase only some components, so you might be forced to buy the whole good kit and to resell your 881947 at a discount price as being slightly used.

Talk to Jerry, (Greenhulk here) he will help you out on that....that's why i purchased from him, because he was helping me out ONLINE finding the good part numbers i needed for my rebuild.

My local shop ended up replacing the kit they put in with 881946. Supercharger now slides in and all is back to normal. I was able to still utilize my riva bearings and washers. Thanks to you guys for steering me into the right direction. Love this site!
