    My Current MPH

Took the ski out easter sunday. First run of the season

    My current mods are:

    Riva free flow exhaust
    Riva ride plate
    2° wedge
    R&D intake grate
    Rinsed out intercooler
    Proper oil level
    Riva valve cover block off
    Riva performance intake
    R&D flat filter
Impros fixed prop (not sure of the bend)
    R&D vent kit
    Full tank of fuel
    155lb rider

67.4 mph @ 7950 rpm's. When I browse through the threads, I see some people stock doing around the same mph. Is the intake grate slowing me down?

Mind you every 1 gallon of gasoline equals 5.8 to 6.5 lbs it does make a difference and also the intake grate it's proven to slow you down also!!

Most all of my speed runs were done with about 2 bars of fuel in the tank. A full tank of fuel will slow you down a lot. I'd also have to say that the R&D intake grate is slowing you down. Several people on the forum who have tried one say it took away anywhere from 1.5-2 mph. I am running the exact same setup as you with the exception of the R&D intake grate. The only other differences are I am running an R-Rated intake and 2nd waterbox eliminator 'U" pipe instead of the same Riva items. I don't have any Impros mods on the pump or prop. I do have the rear vent hoses removed and the ram air mod done. In upper 60 degree weather last October, I ran 70-71 all day long. RPM's were anywhere from 7950-8050
