SeaDoo Question! Need to know what year to buy?

The budget is about $4-$6 grand, and i'm not sure what year i should buy. I'm thinking about an RXP now, but am also open to other Yamaha suggestions. What Yamaha models can i get for this price? and what are the pros and cons of each? (ill also make a post about referring to just yamaha models in the yamaha section)

You want a 2-smoke of 4-stroke? If you want an oil burner get a GP1300R. If the latter, go for an RXP.

advantages of each? and what is the lifetime of a 2stroke vs. a 4 stroke? also, what would be the years/prices for a 2 and 4 stroke that i could buy with my budget?

    2004 RXP

you can probably get a mid hour RXP (2004) for around 6 or so. No mixed gas, reliable, fast, two seater, good jumping........easy to work on..

Go with a 4-stroke & get a RXP. For that price you should get a 2004-2005. They will last longer & the 215 HP is the only way to go. You will be so glad you did. If you can find a 04 & throw in about $2000 for mods, you will be the king of the lake (or at least see what cove he goes to).

I agree. Can't go wrong with a metal washered RXP.

$2000 seems a lil pricy for mods. if u had to limit the modifications to $1000, what would be the best mods to get? or does the performanc Stage 1 package cover everything most likely? or is there a better way to go?

With your budget, there are some good GPRs for sale here. Or find a CLEAN stocker for $4000 and put $1500 in to it.
An RXP without a warranty or good mechanical experience is questionable. Mine has quite running 3 times in a year and a half. With major parts being replaced.

Just my opinion, don't shoot me!
