    Keys for the RXP-X

When you first get the keys are they suppose to go all the way around the plug?
When i first plugged them on they wouldnt go but half way on..Is there a certain way other than pushing straight on?
Also if i have them connected to my PFD do i need to put a floating keychain on?

Push the key on until it stops. If the machine runs, it's on right.

The floating keychain is a personal preference. I don't use one, but many do.

Remember this anything that doesn't float, will end up on the bottom of the lake. Its state law, man, look it up

    Law? For real? Hehehehe!

As far as I can tell, it's not the law in Florida:

An operator of a PWC equipped with a lanyard-type ignition safety switch must attach the lanyard to his or her person, clothing, or PFD.

Sounds a little strange. But the machine does run?

If you are not comfortable with it, take it to the dealer.

Thats perfectly fine. As long as it connects and the guages come on and it starts beeping its ok. Remember that the D.E.S.S and the Post are magnets and all it is a metal strip going against the little pin size ball on the post. Thats what makes it capable of rotating.

If it's anything like past models then when it's on it just doesn't seem like it is. It won't snap on and completely cover the knob. Don't the keys come with floats on them? Or are they different now for the '08s?
