    Random Srews help!

    hey. just getting the gp1300 05 put back together and i cant find the screws for the rub rail.. and the screws for the sponsons... i live overseas so buying them from riva isnt an option takes too long.. does anyone have sizes so i could take it to the department store??? thanks!!

    The rub rail was attached with rivets, but you can use stainless screws. You can order screws from boltdepot.com if you can't get them locally. All bolt/screw sizes are listed in the manual.

    most of the hull parts screws and bolts are the same size. plate tabs and grate bolts are the same size i think.

    nope. The plate and tabs are different. The tabs are m6 and the ride plate is m8

    waking up old thread, my garage ate the bolts for rear rub rail 06 gpr. At first i matched with a bolt from front rub rail, 1/2 inch 10mm, but diameter 10 was too small, upgraded to 12mm at hardware store a half hour ago, still too small won't grab. hmmm, I've always wanted a rivet gun I might make one more stab at it if I can dig up 14's at a short length, and maybe one that won't stab me every time I put my hand down there.

    in case someone has run across this, will a #14 do the trick ?

    or maybe using stainless nut/washer/bolt instead of trying to force a screw in there ? (this option seems the most practical)

    yip, stainless 1" bolts, nylocks, done deal, easy peasy.
